The Academy is compromised to enroll and provide the students with a creative education program of academic excellence and sport achievements, with the help of a top notch faculty, compromised with these 100 young men. The facilities develop are unique and provide the students all necessary tools for their development, but there is a lot of work still to be done in order to maintain the CBBA operations as a going concern.  The help and participation of the community is needed, since the CBBA provide an alternative to the young talented people of Puerto Rico to develop their capacities to the maximum to be educated and responsible citizens in the future.

To maintain this initiative alive requires a huge economic help, because the majority of the 100 students enroll at the CBBA came from low income families, and each of them has been grated with some type of scholarship to attend the academy. Also, the operating cost of the CBBA precise a multifaceted fund raising initiative in order to be sustained, for this reason any funds donated are vital for the operations.

This is the reason why we ask for the creativity of a well known puertorrican artist, Antonio Martorell, who graciously has created “CBBA Poster 2011”, which symbolically projects the Academy, with his artistic talent, sense of delicate taste, marking the past and the present of Puerto Rico’s baseball history as one. The idea of merging two personalities of baseball is simply based on the love these two men have for the young people of Puerto Rico. Roberto Clemente was born in August 18, 1934 and Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy opened its doors to the students and faculty on August 18, 2011. It was done to honor Clemente and unite dreams that strengthen with the past of the years. Both men, Clemente and Beltran have many things in common. This is the meaning of the poster that you are looking in this letter. The capital letters symbols the sport and tradition. The green letters the baseball field where Beltran and Clemente perform as stars of baseball, and CBBA green letters represents the green vegetation that surrounds the Municipality of Florida known as the Enchanting River. The silhouette of both players represents the unique way of posing their bodies when playing.
