History

The Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy is a non- profit organization that has created an excel high school-baseball academy for talented students. For over seven years, three times Gold Glove winning Centerfielder Carlos Beltran dreamed the opening of a baseball academy in his native Puerto Rico. As a champion of youth sports and education, Beltran set up his Foundation to assist community organizations that support his mission’s criteria.

More than seven years later, what began as a simple dream and conversation with his wife Jessica, has evolved into reality. Carlos’ tireless efforts had him search long and hard for the perfect location for his Academy that he found in the Municipality of Florida, Puerto Rico, which is known as “La Tierra del Rio Encantado”. The ecologically friendly city is the ideal place to call the Academy’s home. Its picturesque beauty is breath taking. Surrounded by “mogotes”, it’s the perfect location to remind the students of the importance of preserving our environment for future generations. Lead by an impressive group of professionals, his Board of Directors and support from the central and municipal government, Beltran’s big dream has comes true!
