Opening Day – August 24, 2011

The Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy (CBBA) began classes on August 24, 2011. The CBBA has been created for the purpose of developing talented young athletes through a first- level education and specialized training that prepares the student to face their university career with discipline.

Thanks to Carlos Beltran’s efforts, his work-team, and the Municipality of Florida, an abandoned land lot with a partial developed structure was obtained.  Now this building is full renovated to bring the best service at the best facilities.

This impressive structure has approximately 33,000 square feet devoted to provide our students with all the tools and facilities necessary to ensure their maximum academic and athletic development. The facilities include administrative offices, lunchroom, gymnasium, showers, locker rooms, outdoor batting cages, classrooms, study halls and Wi-Fi technology. These facilities are housed in an eco-friendly environment that includes the use natural lighting, and water efficient systems.

The property surpasses more than 18 acres of land and includes areas with abundant vegetation and natural hills that have been preserved. Calisthenics, training areas, sidelines and recreational facilities are placed in order to create a university-like campus atmosphere. Also two Major League standard fields are in the process of development.

The academy adopts and shares recreational facilities with neighbors from nearby municipal regions, for example, a Municipal baseball field that is adapted in order to meet Major League requisites and is being used for practices and games. In addition the Municipality of Florida has granted the use of an olympic swimming pool, track and field facility, which are located nearby the CBBA.

We want the students to understand the equal importance of getting an education and enhancing their athletic skills. For this reason every detail, including the layout of the classrooms, has been addressed to maximize student teacher participation.

The Academy provides kids with state of the art facilities that make the CBBA worthy of being the best in its class.
